Battling issue of school safety is difficult because it stems from many sources.School safety has been studied by NIJ in cooperation with the DOE and US Secret service. The compromises of school safety are expansive as issues with funding, public opinion, and ethics are prevalent.In the US alone its difficult for our schools to receive proper funding in such a massive country "The majority of school districts in the country—7,224 in total, serving almost two-thirds of all public school students—face a funding gap” - The Century Foundation. Public opinion and ethics are equally as important as people often argue over metal detectors, gun laws, and self defence laws when it comes to school safety.Ensuring the safety of our students is extremely important, even there are hurdles to overcome.
