A poet’s life is agonizing
When in the event
Which hand and brain become too cramped
And thoughts are blocked with lint
A poet’s life is wonderful
When the table turns
The poet’s flighty thoughts
Miraculously are words
Little eggs thick and white under fantasy moonlight
Slowly slowly easing open little eggs hatch
Caterpillars munching on the leaves
Stripes and spots don’t match
Makes another little house
Warm cozy and thick
Climbs on twig
Sticks
Slowly
Metamorphic
Change is taking place
Soon a lacey cocoon is ready
For the race because only sixteen
Caterpillars will be bright and rare
This caterpillar wishes to have a little flair
Slowly slowy small emergence of Pieridae
Comes into the world for a chance to fly
A knight in shining armor or a poet on
A whim, this Pieridae’s a miracle’s
Perfect synonym. This butterfly
Will fly, even if only
Within
Fawn in the woods
Scared like me
Young little fawn
Wobbly knees
I’m on the stage
He’s in the grass
Probably waiting
For danger
To pass
Young little fawn
Safe in the trees
He understands
He’s afraid
Like me
Presents, Candy, Santa Claus
Christmas Trees cut down with saws
Cheering children throwing snow
Red sleigh riding off we go
Although these things all bring us cheer
The best thing at this time of year
Is giving gifts to the hungry and poor
And to the family and friends that you adore
Evening sky
Full of stars
Swirling twirling
Meteors
Pieces of our
Universe
Milky stripe
We see
From earth
Evening sky
Full of stars
Saturn Jupiter
And Mars
Planets orbiting
The sun
Our home
Being one
Why not peace instead of hate?
Why not love each other?
What about our place in the world?
As teachers to our brother?
Why not peace, why not love
Why not have compassion
Instead of pretending
We really don’t care
Why isn’t kindness in fashion
What about loving your neighbor like you
What about the golden rule
Why not peace, why not love
Why not have compassion
Fly, spread your wings, Fly
Fly, like a bird, Fly
Fly, like pollen, Fly
Fly, fly away, Fly
Often they say
what’s the point
you’re a kid
they say
they’d be
happy
If only
you hid
they think
If I’m not
perfect
I’m not
worth it
at all
They never
Help me
Up when
I fall
They don’t
Let me
Smile
The don’t
Let me
Laugh
But they
Don’t know
That bad
Feelings
Can pass
Sure I’m
Not
Perfect
But I do
Have
Friends
And good
Feelings
From that
Will never End
