    Sailboat races have been popular for over 200 years. It is an olympic sport. Sailboat races include multiple people on one boat because there is many things to control you can see all of the pieces divided here. Hydrofoils are what racing sailers use in their races. The hydrofoils make the sailboat have minimum drag and as fast as possible. These work because of Isaac Newtons 3rd law, it staes that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So, the foil on the bottom of the boat pushes down on the water and in return the water pushes back up on it. There are some reason that all racing boats are not hydrofoils because it/there is
