Lands End

View of Golden Gate Bridge from Lands End trail For those of you who enjoy taking scenic walks, the Lands End trails are the place for you. This series of dirt pathways are along side the Pacific Ocean coastline with one trail that leads down to a small beach. On a sunny day, this is the place to be, though sometimes it can be quite crowded. The trails are surrounded by large trees and other wild plants that provide a colling shade on hot summer days. There are barely any steep climbs, though there is a portion with a long flight of wooden stairs. Since these trails are next to th coast, it can get quite windy, so numerous layers are recommended, especially since if you get hot, you can always take them off.

Palace of Fine Arts

Waterfront view of Palace of Fine Arts dome The Palace of Fine Arts is definitely one of the best places to visit when touring San Francisco. The beautiful dome-like structure in front of a lively pond really sets an amazing scene. It is the perfect place to have a picnic and take pictures. The best time to visit this park is a little bit before sunset where the sun rays can be seen through the pillars of the structure and the sky is constantly changing colors.
