Pokemon games have been around since the 1990s and the ok, but the newer ones have been realy good and every region/gen had a game. Here is a list of all the games in order, what year they were released, and their console.

• Pokemon Yellow, Red, and Blue: 1998, Gameboy
• Pokemon Gold and Silver: 1999, Gameboy Color
• Pokemon Crystal: 2000, Gameboy Color
• Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire: 2002, Gameboy Advance
• Pokemon Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen (remakes but not Emerald) 2004, Gameboy Advance.
• Pokemon Diamond and Pearl: 2006, Nintendo DS
• Pokemon Platinum: 2008, Nintendo DS
• Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver(remakes): 2009, Nintendo DS
• Pokemon Black and White: 2010, Nintendo DS
• Pokemon Black 2 and White 2: 2012, Nintendo DS
• Pokemon X and Y: 2013, Nintendo 3DS
• Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: 2014, Nintendo 3DS
• Pokemon Sun and Moon: 2016, Nintendo 3DS
• Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: 2017, Nintendo 3DS
• Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee: 2018, Nintendo Switch
• Pokemon Sword and Shield: 2019, Nintendo Switch

That's all the pokemon games in order, but there are many more games than that, but the other games are not rpg or are like fighting versions, like "Pokken Tournament."
