Being Responsible
How to be responsible for your records
In order to correctly collect records you need to be able to take care of them, keep them clean, keep them in their sleeves. Be very careful when taking them out of their sleeves because they are fragile and can break with one simple drop to the floor. After you have listened to the record place it back in its sleeve, put it away and be ready to listen next time.
How to clean records
In the process of being responsible for your records you have got to make sure you clean them. So here are a few steps to help you out.
- Step 1: Spray the cleaner solution 2 – 4 times on your record’s surface avoiding the center label. Note- you can buy cleaner solution at any local Best Buy or online.
- Step 2:Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface in a circular, anti-clockwise motion (with the grooves). Make sure the fluid fully penetrates the grooves.
- Step 3:Repeat step two, this time with your rinsing solution (if supplied).
- Step 4:Dry the record surface with your second microfiber cloth using the same anti-clockwise method.
- Step 5:Repeat steps 1 through 4 until your records are clean.
