There are many wonders in Space! Scientists discovered only about 4 percent, which means there is still about 96% of Outer Space that they cannot see! Most people study or research Space to get to know more about our origin, and where we live in this massive world. A fun historical fact is that many people a long time ago believed that the Sun and the other planets in our Solar System were orbiting Earth, they thought the Earth was the center, and main. Did you know that when you look into space, you are actually looking into the past? For example, if someone was looking at us through a telescope or something, and were very far away, they would see us thousands to even billions of years ago! So basically, if you saw a star look huge in the sky, it might now actually be small, you won't know unless you're close enough.

• The Universe was created around 13.82 billion years ago.
• In case you didn't know, the universe started with "The Big Bang," this was a rapid expansion of matter, which caused the universe to expand.
• Space is dark, even with stars it is pitch black.
• Space is also freezing cold, it is about -453.8 degrees Fahrenheit!
• Scientists can see about 5,500 galaxies, which have about between 800 billion to 3.2 trillion planets in each galaxy!!
• Also, keep in mind that this is only 4% of the universe!
• Around 95% of the mass of the universe is consumed by dark matter and dark energy, which is invisible.
• Researchers and Scientists know that Dark matter is everywhere in Space.
• There might be a supermassive black hole at the center of every galaxy.
• There can be possible life on other planets than Earth.
• Neutron stars can spin around 600 times per second.
• Our Solar System is around 4.6 billion years old.
• Scientists measure distance in Space by "Light Years," one Light Year would be around 9.7 trillion kilometers!
• If you could travel at this speed you could circle Earth 7 and a half times a second!
