The polar opposite of Netherite, Cryothite is resistant to antimolten instead of lava. Wearing full cryothite armor prevents damage from powdered snow but reduces damage from antimolten. It has the same strength and damage as Netherite but instead of reducing knockback, it prevents you from mace damage until you don't have full armor anymore.
Cryothite can also be used to trade with yeti for items like cryothite armor and tools, or their club which costs a cryothite sword. Special items that you can get are cryothite staff (only from the leader), potion of freezing, and bucket of liquid light.
