When the Ancient civilization successfully killed a warden, they aquired the sculk heart, but they got curious, what if they threw it in the warden statue. Once they did, the ground shook, and the portal started to open, some people were too scared to enter, the ones who did were the first to discover the Stone Cold, the first biome they discovered was the frostfertile jungle, which at this time it was barren and filled with nitrogen lakes. They took in seeds and experimented to see if they would grow, they did but they weren't the same, instead of leaves, they grew sugar ice, instead of using only water to grow, they also used nitrogen. This changed the biome from a barren nitrogen swamp, to an icy jungle with frozen sugar in the far far future. This also made a new mob in the biome later in the lore.
The people then decided to explore more of the Stone Cold, which the dimension's name back then was the Hypofrost. While exploring, they discovered 2 more biomes, Salty wastelands and yeti domain, when they went into the yeti domain, the yeti were confused and suspicious of the people, the leader of one of the yeti groups interrogated the leader of the explorer group. The explorer leader said they meant no harm but one of the explorers was left behind, thought they were in trouble, and shot an arrow at the leader yeti, making the yeti angry and the explorer group had to run away. They got mad at the one who shot the arrow and threw them out of the dimension, they then discovered the salty wastelands, they used this biome as a source of salt.
While going back to bring salt to the city, they saw a crab-like mob with an icicle sticking out of its back, one member got close to it to examine it but got penitrated by the icicle that the mob launched at them, the group then tried killing the mob but it ran away. The group then followed and saw the crab with another surrounding a weird-looking icicle, the group was confused but when they looked closer, they saw a dark, bulb-like thing inside of the icicle, they then came to a conclusion that it was an egg. They then stayed away from the two ice crabs and got back to the city. The group told the rest of the city of what they saw, which got more into the expedition.
Once they got all the people who wanted to join the expedition, they decided to try to make allies with the yeti. The yeti of course, tried to kill them once they saw the group again, but the explorer group told them not to attack so they could explain, the yeti then apologized for their aggression and made allies with them. The yeti helped the group through the yeti domain and they then got to the other side of it. At this point, they discovered 3 biomes, aurora paradise, ash canyons, and what is now the sculk remnants, the deeper dark. the first of these is ash canyons, which is where a new mineral was discovered by the people, Cryothite, the yeti told the group to be careful looking for cryothite or they will fall into antimolten, the some of the group laughed and said "so basically water?" Which some of those who thought that fell in or jumped in to prove their point died from hypothermia, the group then traded with the yeti and explored more. The next discovered biome was the deeper dark, which had more than just the warden, there were sculk serpents that jumped out of holes in the ground and attacked the group as they were traveling, there were sculk jaws that acted like beartraps, and there were sculk scentors that sensed smell, which were hard to not activate. After getting past the deeper dark, they finally discovered aurora paradise, they saw oddly colorful ice spikes which had auroras trapped inside, they didn't see anything useful other than cryothite and nitrogen. After hours of traveling back to the frostfertile jungle, they got back to the portal and to the city.
After having some knowledge of the Stone Cold, the group goes back in to continue exploring, but they take a different path instead. Once they traveled far enough, they got to a gate made of cryothite, they tried opening it but it was locked with chains, but they broke the chains easily due to how old they are. When they got in, there was a giant, white, crystal-scaled dragon imprisoned in chains, it was sleeping and the group was trying to be as quiet as possible. But as they were, one of the members tripped on a tiny ice spike, waking up the dragon. The dragon then spoke,
"finally, someone is here"
Cryodra: "may you break these chains and free me, it has been... probably a thousand years or two, I've been here so long I forgot when I was trapped here..."
Group member 1: "What are you!?"
Other members: having flashbacks of the battle and imprisoning the dragon in the portal that they had no knowledge of what it was
Cryodra: "... a dragon, I am usually known as the Cryodra by some of those fat white creatures, whatever they were. They weren't the ones who put me here, the ones who did looked like those idiotic humans and their black tumor things."
Group member 1: "So my people are the ones who trapped you here?"
Group member 2: "You probably shouldn't have told it that..."
Cryodra: "Ok... and?... but how about we make a deal? you free me, but I stay in this world."
Group member 1: "we will free you, as long as you stay in the Hypofrost."
Cryodra: "What is the Hypofrost?"
The group members look at each other
Group member 3: "You're in it right now."
Cryodra: "That isn't this place's name, I named it `the Stone Cold`"
Group member 1: "Just stay in this world okay?"
Cryodra: "Okay, just break the chains already..."
They then free the Cryodra and they leave the dimension, they now call it the name that the Cryodra calls it
the yeti then see that the Cryodra is out of its prison, they then try to attack but the Cryodra stops them from even starting. The Cryodra then tells them that a deal has been made and it won't harm them, the yeti don't believe it so the Cryodra tells them how it ended up here. The yeti then let the Cryodra through with the knowledge that it was just misunderstood and was defending itself. As the Cryodra looks for a place for a nest, it finds the deeper dark that the people discovered.
The Cryodra is confused, how is there sculk in its home, why is it here, or what it even is. The sculk came through the portal while the people were exploring, which the sculk removed its trail when it got in. Multiple wardens come from the ground, the Cryodra attacks them out of fear but get hit with multiple sonically charged booms, which the Cryodra retreats and plots out a war on the sculk. It fears that the sculk will evolve into a hivemind and kill all life in all worlds. (Sculk Horde reference)
The Cryodra goes back to its prison cell, thinks of a way to fight back, nothing comes up. But then it does, the Cryodra goes to the nearest aurora paradise biome, uses its frost breath on the aurora icicles, and they fall. Nothing happens at first, But then the icicles start splitting out limbs, and cryothite starts rising from the ground, the icicles float, and then the Slicicles are born. The Cryodra then gives them the sole purpose to kill, but soon that will back fire.
Due to the slicicles purpose not having a specification, some other mobs, like the yeti, are being targetted. None of the yeti have been killed but lots have been injured, lots of strays and zombified piglins have been killed, but the breezes had an advantage with their wind charges. At this time, most slicicles have been killed by the yeti and breezes. The only mob that wasn't attacked by the slicicles were the ice crabs, they saw the ice crabs as their kind so they never attacked them.
As the slicicles enter the deeper dark, wardens rise from the ground and sculk serpents slither in the ground to them. The wardens were stronger than the slicicles, but they had an advantage in speed, quantity, and camouflage. They ambushed the wardens and assimilated them, the serpents then retreated and were the only remaining sculk mobs after this. And just like i said, it started to backfire onto the Cryodra.
Once the slicicles killed the sculk, they had a new goal, kill their creator. They're like a hivemind now and all slicicles return to the Cryodra, the Cryodra thanks them for killing all of the sculk, but the Cryodra gets a cut in return by the slicicles. The Cryodra gets mad at them for betraying it, and then crushes most of them into shards and frost breaths some of them together. the slicicles go away and the Cryodra thinks that they're retreating and running away, but in reality, they're waiting... waiting for the opportunity.
When the Cryodra goes out to look for food, it barely finds any, only some aurora ice and zombified piglins. The Cryodra then realizes it killed off most of its only food sources. It runs around, looking for any life that the slicicles forgot, but all that were found was a few zombified piglins. It then goes back to its prison cell, waiting for something to come.
The Cryodra is starving, now realizing nothing is coming to help, it thought it should've broke the deal when it had the chance. It hopes that the hunger can kill it so it can't suffer anymore. But all that happens is it becomes weaker, tired, and scared. But then, the slicicles return, their opportunity is here.
The Cryodra sees the slicicles, it tries to run, but it's now too weak to get up and walk. The slicicles walk toward the Cryodra and then start stabbing and cutting up the Cryodra as it roars in agony. After that, all that was left was its skeleton.
After 500 years, people find The Stone Cold, but they aren't the civilization, but they are some of the playable MC skins, which are Ari, Sunny, Alex, Steve, and Kai. Things have changed throughout the years, the once barren landscape where the portal is at is now a forest of a new flora, what was once the deeper dark is now the sculk remnants. They discover the sculk remnants, all of them are curious about what happened to the sculk, they theorize that it got too cold for the sculk to thrive, but while exploring the once alive biome, Alex gets attacked by a sculk serpent but luckily Steve shoots it with a crossbow and the serpent retreats. They then come across a peculiar set of fallen icicles, Sunny gets too curious and the slicicles attack them, they almost died but they defeated them.
After many slicicle attacks, they make it out and find an ash canyon. They are confused on why there are zombie piglins but a new creature catches their attention, the Tankifiticus, Kai goes closer to better examine it, a gurgling sound can be heard from it as it gets closer, Steve sees this as a threat and pulls Kai away, and the tankifiticus shoots lava out of its mouth, luckily Steve pulled her away fast enough. The tankifiticus then swims away because it lost interest after Steve did that, they continue exploring and find cryothite, and then used it to make armor, but there was only enough for one helmet, so they went to get more.
some slicicles a long, long time ago were curious if the corpses of the sculk mobs would rot, they didn't. So they looked for an area to dispose the corpses because they were tired of looking at them, they traveled blocks and blocks just to look for a place to dispose them, but then found a peculiar biome, The Wastecaves. There was an ocean of waste at the bottom of it, uranium ore everywhere, the radiation didn't affect them since they're made of ice. They then threw the dead sculk mobs in the waste, thinking that they would be gone now, but something... new... rose from the waste...
Once the corpses rose, they knew one thing was clear, they weren't sculk anymore, this... thing had four jaws made from 4 warden arms and 2 sculk serpent heads that were enlarged by the mutations, this thing's body was larger that 3 tankafitici next to eachother, and it was so asymmetrical that it couldn't walk properly, a slicicle tries to attack but gets shattered by it's hand, or foot, whatever body part it is, the rest ran away at the sight of the abomination they created
