Harvard is great yet difficult college to get into. If I went to Harvard, I would study Mythology and Folklore. I really enjoy learning about different cultures and their beliefs.
If I were to study Folklore and Mythology, I'd get to learn more about how people in the past used myths to "tackle universal questions about life, death, morality, and behavior, offering insights into our own experiences." I can also learn how myths " reveal the beliefs, fears, values, and societal structures of past civilizations."
Learning Folkore and Mythology can help me understand how people before us saw the world. With this information, I can compare how different it is from the modern world and how it impacted it. Studying Folklore and Mythology "critical thinking and cultural sensitivity by analyzing symbols and hidden meanings."
Learning about Mythology and Folklore will help me understand "cultural roots, human psychology, and universal themes that shape our world, providing context for literature, art, language, and societal values while fostering empathy, critical thinking, and self-reflection on big life questions."
