The average gorillas iq is between 75 and 95(whatever iq means) Gorillas can understand 2,000 words spoken of English. There is Koko that died last year but mastered sign language and was 46. She died in her sleep in the Gorilla Foundation's preserve in Woodside, California.

"As I was saying", Gorillas also know sign language, and emotions, they can laugh and grieve. Koko was just one individual that has been taught. More have been taught sign language too, but very few have been taught.
