Roleplaying

Interacting

On your travels, you will almost certainly meet other people and monsters.
You will have conversations with them, debating prices for goods, discussing news, and taking their quests.
Only through interaction can you trade, meet peoples' needs, and generally carry out the tasks necessary for an adventurer to become a true hero.

Combat

Combat takes place in a series of rounds. At the beginning, every player and monster roles for initiative.
The character or monster with the highest initiative goes first, followed by the second highest, and working down to the lowest, after which the cycle repeats.
Players typically have 1 action, 1 bonus action, and a certain amount of feet of movement.
Movement is used to move around the battlefield, actions are typically used for attacks, and bonus actions are used for things like drinking a potion.

Acting As Your Character

Based on your character's background, previous experiences, and statistics, they will have different strengths, weaknesses, and ideals.
In turn, the beliefs that your character hold may not match your own, but you would still have exchanges representative of your character.
For instance, if your character had a low charisma score, they would most likely stutter, have a hard time explaining what they mean, and rush when speaking.
