Munchkin cats are known for their cute, short, and stubby legs! Sadly, they are not too well known even though they are really cute.
Usually, if you ask someone questions about this breed, they wouldn't know most of them since Munchkin cats are a new breed which came out officially in 1991 yet first documented in the 1940s.
Munchkin cats are genetically mutated to have very short legs which might lead to some health issues, but, they will still be great pets as long as you get them checked up at the vet!
Did you know: Munchkin cat's back legs are usually longer than their front, rising their bottoms higher and more off the ground than their stomachs? Even though that might sound weird, it's a lovable feature about them that you might not notice!
Also, Munchkin cats are different when it comes to genders; the males are heavier (between 6 and 9 pounds) while the females usually dont nearly get that heavy ranging between 4 and 8 pounds.
You may also know a cat breed called the Dwarf cat, and if you know about them, you should see that they have very short legs just like the Munchkin cats.
This is no coincidence because the Munchkin cats are thought of the origanal breed of dwarf cats even though there are some differences between them.
Either way, I think munchkin cats are amazing and are worth lots of attention!
