Michael Afton is one of the main Protagonists in a game series called "Five Nights at Freddy's". He is an extremely important character in the game. Not only do you play as him most of the time, but he also takes a large role in the lore of Five Nights at Freddy's. He is part of the Afton Family (the main family that Five Nights at Freddy's revolves around), and is the oldest son. His death is probably one of the more gross ones.
