it all depends on what kind of dog you want, playful,protective,adorable,friendly,etc

If you want a playful dog I would suggest getting a jack russel terrier or a boxer

Male Boxers usally get up to 23-25inches and weigh from 65-80 pounds now females usally get up to 21.5-23.5inches and weigh about 15 pounds less than males

Jack Russell Terriers usally get up to 13 to 14 inches at the shoulder,weigh 13 to 17 pounds and live 12 to 14 years

If you want a protective dog I would suggest getting a Doberman pinscher because they are really good at protecting and I mean you want a good protecting dog don't you.
