Raccoons eat insect's because they are so easy to find in the outdoors. Raccoons eat cockroaches, ants, caterpillars, and even spiders. I know they love mussel because at my house there is a pond and there are mussel's in the pond. Raccoons live in Florida, so at night they go and eat the mussle's then leave the shell on the bank.
