Well, there's a lot. Weapon evolution didn't end on 20th century assault rifle invention. Many progresive countries including Russia, USA, China and others are developing new firearms. For example new rifle called F2000, is builded in bull-pup configuration which mean that mechanism of the gun is located at the stock and there's a free space in the middle, commonly used for a longer barrel. At the end, we have a gun that have the same length as a traditional style rifle, but better accuracy and range of fire because the berrel is longer longer barrel.
