Stegosauruses are famously known for their spikes on their tails and their plates. Most people think that the plates are used for scaring predators, but now most paleontologists think that they were used for heat regulation. Their tail is used for defense against predators. We think that they lived as a family and possibly in a herd. Their biggest enemy would have been the Allosaurus.
In the Jurassic lived the mighty Brachiosaurus and the gut renching Allosaurus, but what about the Compsagnathus. The smallest carnivore and most likely a scavenger was the Compsagnathus. These dinosaurs were about the size of a chicken and were relatively harmless to many herbivores. They were pictured in Jurassic Park as pack predators, and they very well could be, but they were also shown to take on a grown man, which is very unrealistic because they probably didn't attack anything larger than them to risk their lives.

In the Jurassic lived the ferocious relative of the Ceratosaurus, the Dilophosaurus. They had very hollow jaws and wouldn't have used them to battle others. They would have used their claws and talons to rip prey apart. They were fetured in Jurassic Park as having venom because of their jaw. They were also much taller than in the movie, about 10 feet tall and 20 feet long. They would have been an amazing predator.
The king of the Jurassic and of death, the Ceratosaurus stood above all. They are most well known for their horn on their head and was mostly used for display. They were family animals and lived with a family. They would have not fought things like the Stegosaurus because of the risk of death.
