Ivan Rakitić is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for HNK club Hajduk Split, the Croatian club.
He also had a career in FC Barcelona and FC Sevilla, the Spanish clubs.
Although he retired in 2020, he still plays for Hajduk Split.
He won Footballer of the Year (2015) and multiple championships with FC Barcelona.
Although he was born in Switzerland to Croatian parents from Yugoslavia, Rakitić played for Switzerland at youth level, but decided to represent Croatia at senior level.
