My favorite fun fact about hockey is that after you win the Stanley Cup you get 1 day with it and people fill it with crazy foods. One time Zedano Chara filled it with a gallon of carmel ice cream. Another fun fact is that the Montreal Canadians won the first ever Stanley Cup. Wayne Gretzky has the most recods in the NHL than any other player that has played. The last fun fact is Tie Domi got 7 penalties in 1 game which added up to be 49 minutes!
Hockey came from a french word called "hoquet". The first goal ever scored in hockey was marked on December 19, 1917. The first million dollar contract was signed by Bobby Orr. Duncan Keith has lost the most teeth in history of the NHL. He lost seven teeth in one game! It was also the Stanly Cup finals. The last fun fact is the longest serving captain in NHL histoy was Steve Yzerman (I-Zer-Man) he served for 20 seasons.
