How To Make Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

What You Need/Ingredients
- pint-basket (1 pound) fresh strawberries
- 2 cups (12 ounces) dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1/2 cup (3 ounces) white chocolate, optional for drizzling
Instructions
- Gently rinse strawberries and dry on paper towels (berries must be completely dry).
- Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.
- In 1-quart saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat.
- Dip lower half of each strawberry into chocolate mixture; allow excess to drip back into saucepan.
- Place on waxed paper-lined tray or cookie sheet.
- Refrigerate uncovered about 30 minutes or until chocolate is firm, or until ready to serve.
- Store covered in refrigerator so chocolate does not soften (if made with oil, chocolate will soften more quickly at room temperature).

What You Need/Ingrediants
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 10 large marshmallows or 2 cups of mini marshmallows
- 3 cups of Cocoa Krispies
- bowl of water
- white frosting
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in marshmallows and mix until completely melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Gently stir in Cocoa Krispies.
- Wet hands with bowl of water (prevents sticking) and pick up a small handful of the mixture.
- Be careful of the heat.
- Shape into a football. Be quick as you’ll want to finish all the footballs before the mixture totally cools and hardens.
- When footballs are completely cool, pipe white lines.
- Store in an airtight container.
