Minecraft is a great game and has no lore because it is a game about cubes. You have probaby heard of Minecraft and if you havent then uh you should read my page!
Minecraft was created by a Swedish man named Markus Persson, or more commonly known as Notch, he always had a passion for creating games and he knew he wanted to create a game that was fun and calming, so he started development on Cave game which would be later renamed to minecraft.
2009 was when development started on Minecraft, it was only created in just 6 days, UNDER A WEEK! For something that would become so influensial so nistalgic ans so controversial, but im getting ahead of myself. at first Minecraft had a very small player base and i mean small, but it grew in populartity and by 2011 the game was officially launched.
This date was when Minecraft began its dessend into what is known today as the darkages of Minecraft, some people might know this date but this date is when Notch sold Minecraft for 2.5 BILLION DOLLERS to Microsoft, some people didnt know what this new mannagement would bring for thier belovid game.
at this point the game had not been updated for a few years and the layerbase was getting worried, they were not sure what would happen and they would see one update thee most controlversial update iN ThE HISTORY of minecraft, 1.9 combat update.
this update added a timer to how much you could swing a tool, instead of the fast base click very fast, you had to wait a second to wait for your weapon to recharge and swing again. PEOPLE WERE FEORIOUS! They hated this update so much and most people did not play the version but layed version 1.8.9 which is the latest version that has the old combat system and what most combat servers use for thier pvp today.
This update saw Minecraft enter its dark ages, less people were playing the game and people were heartbroken. Then when pew-de-pie started his first Minecraft surviveal lets play it kind of revived the playerbase, now when pew-de-pie started his lets play the game was in version 1.13 and then some more updates to the game would revive the playerbase. From 1.13-1.16 the playerbase grew somewhat but people were still untrustful of microsoft and thier management of thier beloved game. Now in 2020 Minecraft 1.17 the caves and cliffs update was announced at Minecraft live 2020. Players were promised bigger caves and big moutins and a new boss but the caves and the new boss were posponed t'ill 1.18. So fans wait for 1.18 and it did add the caves but the new boss was again postponed t'ill 1.19. Fans were kind of getting fed up with the postponement, they were promised bigger caves and mountins and a new boss, but instead they got moutions in one update then they had to wait some time for all three tings that were promised to them in only one update but instead got in three.
This is one of if not thee most controversial updates in Minecraft's history. What did it add? You say, well it added the chat reporting system. Now why does this sound like a bad thing you might say, well its because you can be falsely banned and not just from multiplayer, YOU CAN GET BANNED FROM YOUR SINGLE PLAYER WORLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya thats why so many peole hate this update and just ONE false ban for something means you cant play the game anymore. Spent $29.99 on Minecraft and get falsely banned from the game? Unlucky. And so that pretty much wraps up this story of Minecraft. And also theres version 1.20 but this is a kind of lack luster update, AND WITH THAT! Good bye!
