The Nazis who controlled the country during WW2 came into power during the Great Depression. Hitler (the leader of the Nazi Party) had multiple speeches with promises that these bad finacial times. He took power swiftly become president and chacellor of Germany. They began mobilization by creating the Luftwaffe(Air force) and a powerful navy. The first acts the did to stir things up were:
The last thing on the list was declined by Poland, so, Germany invaded Poland bringing France and Great Britian into WW2 starting the war. First Poland fell in months, then The Benelux region in weeks, Yugoslavia in a month, France in six weeks, Norway in 2 weeks, and Denmark in only six days. Britian was the last holdout in Europe, but Germany had plans. They tried to invade Britian by destroying the "weak" RAF. Germany failed and showed them that Britian will not be able to invade at the time so the looked East to the Soviets. The Soviets had made a non-agression pact while both nations invaded Poland. Germany backstabbed the soviets and at the beginning of the invasion Germany was really going well until winter. When winter came the Soviets pushed the Germans to Ukriane, to Poland to Berlin, and conquered Berlin forcing Germany out of the war. The Germans though did other things there were involved in. The help Itlay take Greece and helped Itlay with the African front, but it failed. Germany was also in vaded by the British and the Americans in D-Day and both nations got all the way to Bavaria. Germany was divided after the war between the US, Britian, France and the Soviet Union. Germany is an example of what happens when conquers go too far.
