New Years is always on the First of January. This holiday represents the start of the new year. Mostly everyone stays up on December 31 they stay up till 12am to celebrate the start of the year. Some people celebrate New Year Eve's with drinking, dancing, eating, and watching/lighting fireworks. Other families celebrate New Years Eve's by watching the Time Square Ball Drop. Some families (like mine) usally count the numbers down till it's 12am and at when it's tweleve they hug/shake hands to celebrate another year. On New Year Eve's when it hits 12am some people throw fireworks up to the sky.
