What is Abstract?

Abstract art isn't simply one thing, it can be many things. When people make abstract art it isn't so you can depict an actual picture out of it. Nonetheless, it is to evoke emotions within the artwork. With this form of art you don't have to use an actual rubric but to use your imagination. Abstract art is one of the most expressive kinds of art!

Abstract History

You would think that abstract art has been around a long time but it hasn't. The first abstract artwork was created a little over 100 years ago in 1911. Compared to other types of art that's nothing! This beautiful art form was created by the Russian artist, Wassily Kandinsky. Fun Fact, he didn't claim to have created the first abstract painting until 24 years after it was painted.
