Taurus, Latin for the bull, is one of the 12 zodiac constellations located in the Northern Hemisphere's winter sky. It is one of the oldest constellations recognized, dating back to the old Bronze age. The symbol for Taurus is ♉ which represents a bull head, which is also similar to what the constellation looks like as well

According to Greek Mythology, the constellation Taurus represents the god Zeus changing himself into a majestic white bull to win the Phoenician princess Europa's love. Europa accepted Taurus's confession and hopped onto the Bull's back and the Bull swam across the Mediterranean Sea, transporting Europa back to the island of Crete.
