Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play in the MLB. Jackie Robinson was given death threats constantly. People yelled racial slurs consistently at Jackie Robinson and he was sent plenty of hate mail. Though some people had hope in Jackie Robinson. Many people didn't like him ,but many other African Americans saw him as a hero for breaking the color barrier in baseball. This allowed some of the greatest that we know today to play the game of baseball. Some of these players are:

  1. Barry Bonds
  2. Sammy Sosa
  3. Hank Aaron
  4. Wille Mays
