Nitrogen can harm mobs related to fire, so with some iron, redstone, water, and Nitrogen, you can make the Frostgun. This weapon can be used to extinguish fires and fire related mobs, if used on the ground too much, it will become permafrost. permafrost can be found naturally in snow biomes if you dig deep enough and the hypofrost dimension.
Nitrogen also can make a potion that gives you the new Frostbitten effect, the frostbitten effect slows you down and prevents you from seeing how much health you have (numbness).
