Point

Pointe is a form of ballet. The dancer has a special shoe that allows them to dance on his or her toes. Inside the shoe is a wooden box that the dancers stand on in order to dance. Pointe requires alot of ankle, leg, and core muscle to balance and dance on your toes. Pointe is not a genre for the beginning dancer. It takes many years of ballet study before you can dance on pointe. It, typically, requires permission from a skilled dance instructor, your parents, and a medical professional. The medical professional will consider your weight, height, age, and bone structure. If a dancer starts pointe before he or she is physically ready, they risk haveing life long injuries to their legs, ankles, and feet.
