Women's rights

For too many years women have been pushed down and seen only as a being to take care of the house or to bear children or to feed the husband. It got a lot better these past few years, but still there was a point in time where women weren't even seen as a "person" in the eyes of the law. There was a point in time where women couldn't hold property on the same terms as a man, we couldn't serve on a jury, we couldn't become an accountant or lawyer, we couldn't get a court order against a violent husband, we couldn't open a bank account or apply for a loan because we were seen as a "high-risk investment by banks." These are only some of the things women couldn't do in the 1900's and further back, meaning there were even more restrictions, bans, and laws to make women feel the smallest they could. Make them feel like they were only good at the cleaning and the cooking and the caring not the hard working, money making, power holding figure of the household, which should be equal.
Over time, women everywhere have seen all the belittling and degrading decisions that have been made for them so they took a stand for what they believe in and for what is right, women's equality.
