Password Security

Password security is an extremely relevant and important topic in cyber security. In training your password security skills, you will indulge in exercises like creating passwords 8 characters or longer. You will also need to be trained on what websites are secure and not secure to put in valid passwords in. Having strong Password security allows a user to be much less vulnerable to hackers. It also allows users to feel more comfortable when using passwords knowing what is safe and not. If employees are not trained in password security, they are much more prone to information being stolen or used by hackers. This creates vulnerability in a database which can only lead to greater problems.

Malware

Malware is a critical topic to be informed about while in cyber security. Training would involve learning about different malware and how to avoid them. One might watch videos on specific malware like trojan and spyware to avoid clicking anything if it was ever to be present in your technology. Learning about malware allows a user to be much more cautious when seeing suspicious activity on one’s device. As well as one might be able to pick up on malware when active once they are informed on what it looks like. If employees are not trained, they could allow malware that is very harmful like spyware on one's device which then could steal vital information that could lead to more issues.

Computer Ethics

Computer ethics are very important for someone to learn so they do not violate someone's privacy or rights. Training would involve memorizing the 10-computer ethics as well as displaying that one knows how to follow them. Having good computer ethics is important for a company to have because it leads to a strong reputation. It also allows customers or users to like working with an employer. Not following computer ethics can lead to lawsuits and extended legal action.
