The solar system is a gravitational force system of a star, the Sun, and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. The largest of the objects orbiting the Sun are the 8 planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, and their moons. The remainder smaller objects are the dwarf planets and small Solar System bodies, including comets and asteroids. Our solar system is located in the Milky Way galaxy.
