Vocabulary and Making Words

Now that you have selected your sounds, you can now create some words.You can use a random word generator or make up words yourself. You can make the words sound like the thing they mean (Example: the word for cat can be meow in your language).

Syllable Structure

You need to figure out what structure your syllables will be in.Some examples are closed syllables, which end in a consonant & open syllables, which end in a vowel.You also need to know the simplicity of the syllable. Simple syllable structure can be found in languages like Japanese, where it is mainly CV (C stands for consonant, V stands for vowel), while complex syllable structure can be found in languages like English, which ranges from CV or VC(to, at) to CCCVCCC(strengths)

Syllabic Consonants

Syllabic consonants are consonants that either make up a syllable, as in the "le" sound in "bottle" or the "en" sound in "happen", or they are between two other consonants, like the "or" sound in "work". This sounds are also found in languages like Sanskrit, Cantonese, and Berber.Some common syllabic consonants are r,l,m,n, and ng.
